Description Here's another personal model sheet of how I'll be drawing Klonoa. This time, it's focusing on his face.

Any questions and concerns about my design, please type them down, and I'll try to answer them.

Disclaimer:
Nothing in the entire Klonoa franchise belongs to me, and of course it belongs to Namco (Bandai). Just having fun with the character design, there is no intention of gaining an economic advantage in my messing with the designs of the characters in the Klonoa franchise, of which I will be using in my fan productions.

I really like these! You've done a really great job stretching Klonoa's face for the expressions and keeping him on model (I struggle with that all the time; it's my anime roots, unfortunately). I love the seventh, excited face and the second-to-last puppy dog eyes.

I really like this style (western cartoons), it makes the characters more elastic and energetic, like in the Moo Model Sheet you previously worked on.
I like how you stretched Klonoa's mouth across his face and how you make the mouth break the face line, makes him a lot more lively!

Thanks for the compliment.

However, I feel I need to work out Klonoa's face still. I just don't feel that it's structurally consistent with how I draw him from the side (and vice versa).

Well, based on the only drawing you did it does seem consistent.

You cartoon style is very unique with klonoa yet it fits very well with it. I also like the choice of expressions you used similar to.... well I don't want to say, but very well done. You don't mind if I use this as a reference?

Sure, it's rather flattering that you're using this as reference. By the way, what were the expressions similar to?

Well, I don't know how to say it because I not so sure. People get rather offended when you relate styles to other styles. It's just best if i don't say.

Well I can't force you to say your thoughts. Just so you know, I too sometimes worry about how I might put my foot in my mouth when I criticize anybody's work. Especially because sometimes I just don't know what I'm talking about. You just have to really think about it, before you say what you like or dislike about a person's drawing. Yet it would be nice to know what's right or wrong with the drawing, so I can fix it in the future.

If you still don't feel comfortable telling me your complete thoughts on my rendition of Klonoa, you don't have to.

Well, it just reminded me of just most 90's cartoons like animaniacs. It's nice that someone does it that way for a change.
