Nice use of a very abstract form for the lion. It really emphasises his face and gives a general feeling of speed and movement as though you're almost just seeing him out of the corner of your eye while being chased.

I'm sorry I don't know the book, but it's a very beautifull scene. Although it's a chase, it doesn't suggest violence, just the majesty and force of the two animals involved.

... And the Lion looks very puffy and clever, I like him .
