Unfortunately no, I just try to take pictures of what ever i find. Till now i have only found one of these in the concrete jungle that i live in.

The subject is in full sharp focus.
Some of details on the top are overblown, but very little. Bravo! That's hard to avoid when a you're trying to shoot a shiny bug in full sun.
The choice of a profile angle is wonderful as it not only shows off that gorgeous purple on the sides of the abdomen, but the timing allows the viewer to see it's mouthparts are extended (that long, segmented "beak" known as the rostrum).
Though it looks like a beetle, it isn't - it's a hemipteran or true bug.
This is one of the metallic shield bugs, specifically a Lychee Shield Bug (Chrysocoris stolli).
