Description
Ok, this is a compilation on some notes I have taken over the past 5 years or so. This is a tiny snippit of that information. I have reams and reams of information to go through and organize. I want to publish a book on my ideas.no one has ever publish an anatomy book based primarily on women. Sure there have been "how to draw Comic Females" and "how to draw Anime Females" But never a "How to draw female anatomy" book.
So tell me if you think these patterns are useful. Let me know if the help you draw females better.

I understand. I think that's because I was new to doing tutorials and by the time I did the Male chart, I was starting to get a better idea on how to present the material.
Trust me I have just as much data on Fems as I did Males...in fact more so....

Thank you! Its slow-going but it will be published eventually. I need to find a place that can publish the book without making the cost so high. Currently, I'd have to spend $35.00 a book which means I would have to sell it for $50.00+ dollars. I want the price to be around $20.00. So I need to find a place willing to publish at $7.00 or $10.00 a book

Jeez, I wish i were that skinny. But that's normal, I'm just fat. Hey, if the book isn't already out, you should do a chapter on drawing fat people >_< The world's full of em!

LOL! Don't we all! I sued to be skinny...now I am fat. Its what happens when you get older and your metabolism slows to a crawl.
Sadly, the book is delayed until I can find a publisher who can print it at a price where I can sell it at an affordable price.
Actually I'm way ahead of you. I have a section on fat and skinny as well as old and young

Very helpful. I was actually doing a project and couldn't find a single book with honest female anatomy, so this is going to be of great use in my drawings. I really like that you added the muscles in this. Everything I've looked through in tutorials has these wimpy female bodies, and I was going to draw a warrior, so I've been having some troubles. Thanks for posting.

You're welcome! I tried to take a realistic and yet practical approach to women. Alot of what is on DA is in regards to Anime. In anime, you rarely draw a muscular female unless its a fetish comic.
There is no substitute for drawing from life, but...when women work out to gain muscle mass...there isn't much to distinguish them from a man The reality is that their breasts shrink into the pectoral muscle and they loose their hourglass figures
. BUt...we never draw them that way

Very condensed (is that how it's spelled?) but it works very well for this format (the interwebz). And yes, there has been practically no book dedicated to drawing REAL women (I have an anatomy book detailing both men AND women). Anime and comic styles abound, but you can't learn to draw stylised women without knowing the true basics, ie real people. Often forgotten.
Totally unrelated, but as a biologist, I often reflect over how men and women can belong to the same damned species, when we are so very different physically. And it isn't just looks.
I'm favin' this...

Thanks for your insightful comment. I agree there is FAR much more in difference between Men and Women. Honestly it should probably be discussed because movement will change based on gender, upbringing, etc. The over production of estrogen in Women makes them act, think, respond, and move differently.
Also...I am very tired of seeing "how to draw Anime" when in Japan the artists have to go through a Life-Drawing class (or its equivalent) before doing the cartooning. I think people take for granted that Japanese Anime artists only know how to draw anime.

Agree, up to the point of women "over producing" estrogen. This is just the biologist ranting, so do please ignore:
As a man, I can safely assume you think that being male is the "normal" state of being for a mammal. It isn't. Women have the double X chromosomes and men have the X-Y configuration. This gets very complicated very fast, but needless to say, nature works on the premise of the Way of Least Resistance as far as norms are concerned. This means that being female is the norm for a mammal. Males are the so-called "induced" sex amongst us. Men get the extra boost of testosterone during foetal development, which is granted by a gene on the Y-chromosome. This starts the development of typical male attributes (you know what they are). And you find them in ALL mammals. This means in extension that the internal (and in some cases external) differences between men and women apply not only to humans, but also to elephants, dolphins, lions and bats. Pretty cool, eh?
Also, you can't really say women "over produce" estrogen, as the most important estrogen (it's a collection of hormones), estradiol is produced from testosterone, male sexual hormone. Which means that women produce a lot of male hormone, before producing female hormones. And men produce some estradiol as well.
It is rather confusing at first glance, I know...
I'm sorry for this rant. I really hope you don't feel like I was trying to twonk you over the head with the "Edumaction-stick", but can help in understanding WHY we are so different.
