I actually made this Visual Style for Windows 7.
...Or made it so far (it's only roughly done, still usable though!)
I didn't want to finish it, since i currently have another project, but now I'm considering to develop it further.

Ad first it changed back to basic yes. But the next day i did all the steps another time and it works fine now.
A lighter version would be perfect, this one is indeed a little to dark.

Hi, I just patched the files, then restarted my computer. Then I ran the no-blur script and that worked. However, even though I moved the files to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes, when I click on Skyrim 0.5 it doesn't have anything like your start bar or explorer windows at all... Just the default light-blue Aero bar and explorer windows. What do I do?

Did you copy the folder "skyrim 0.5" as well to your "C:\Windows\Resources\Themes"-folder?
Sometimes the Win7 uac is troubling too, try to disable it, you can find a tutorial here: [link]

Hi! I installed your theme but it brought up the default blue aero theme, even though I restarted after patching and put the folder and the theme file in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes. I also ran the no-blur script before then. I've had this problem trying to install visual styles before and I was really hoping this one would work...

Still don't know how i will do other parts, since the skyrim Interface i so much different from windows

I think the easiest way to get them to work correctly would be to make the basic frame squared off and incorporate the rest into the window shadows? That way smaller windows aren't all borked looking!
