Description
These are variations of my interpretation of the flag of the League of Tripoli. It combines elements of the flags of the Italian National Fascist Party, Spanish Falange (Spanish Nationalist Party), and the Parti Populaire Français (French Popular Party).Top left - original

The Party Populare Francais aren't actually the Vichy French. They were a fascist party that helped the German Occupation Forces and the Milet. They existed before the Germans invaded France at the beginning of World War II, but were a minority. They were disbanded in 1945.

Huh, so Wikipedia says you are right! I stand corrected so I've changed my description. So both the Vichy regime and PPF collaborated with the Nazis but even so they didn't get along quite well after all! Thanks for the heads-up!

What program do you use? I downloaded Flagmaker about a year ago but it doesn't open up for me and keeps giving me error messages.

For this flag I used Adobe Photoshop. However this kind of art lends itself better to vector programs like Adobe Illustrator. If you're interested in a free (open source) alternative I recommend GIMP: www.gimp.org

It helped that I also used as reference aircraft insignia from the Regia Aeronautica and Condor Legion.
