Contest Entry for
I'm semi-happy with how this came out, there are some parts I wish I had done differently, but for the most part I think it's good enough to be submitted.
I had a lot of fun on Alya, she's such a cute character. Pretty much for Momo Ki's outfit, all yellow bit's glow, which would make for a wicked night performance. <3 If I get some time I'll try to do a reference sheet of it before the contest deadline, but no guarantees on that. ;w;
Also this was heavily inspired by Stereo's "Turn It Up". <3 It was on repeat for most of the picture, thought it suited it nicely!

The coloring is definitely a big strength of this with it's smooth implementation and it being vibrant and standing out. I like how you did the spotlights effects, and I think they fit this piece well. The characters came out good, and think their poses and expressions are another strength in this piece.
As for the dancing look too "stiff" I took a good look at it, and personally thought it came out fine. I agree with Toughset's point about the shading though. I do like how you did the glow effects in this however, and the background is very nice.
Overall, it's a nicely done piece, and I wish you luck in the contest.

Nice to see you're getting back into contests! And your shading is well balanced in this! (If it was me, I would have "upped" the shade contrast by a LOT, but you'd lose some of the character details in the process!)

You actually gave them a feeling of "dancing" ya know? Rather than making them look stiff, they look flowing, which I myself can never do, lmao.
