Time for some Upotte!! fanart. So here's Ichiroku in a more combat capable outfit, trading her saifuku for an USMC uniform coming straight from Battlefield 3.Been a while since I drew a fully loaded character, with random pouches everywhere and an actually realistic uniform.

I love it, it looks great. The only thing I have to say though is that the M16A4 has an even width barrel, only the M4 has that wider and narrow set.Β

Probably a dumb question but why is there only one knee pad? Iv been seeing lots of people draw soldier dudes with only one on. : O

Knee pads are really uncomfortable, so it's common to only wear one on the knee you're going to use. Β It's also why you see them strapped around ankles sometimes- they're not moved up until they're needed.

Yup, that's exactly it. And now I see I put it on the wrong knee x) Since she is right-handed, the right knee should be the one with the pad since it is the one on the ground when she crouches.
Another reason though is simply to get some asymetry in the picture, or just make it cooler
