Maybe you could try to "color" them with a flat non animated parttern on all the characters just to give them some textures ?

I always like your animations but this is so good. I really like how you pan over to the other character. So cool! It's a lot longer and you can tell there was a lot of work put into too it.
I have to learn after effects for a class. We're animating our drawings to do things and it's so hard! I get so furstrated but then I see animations like yours and it's so awesome and cool. It makes me want to try harder. I want to make something cool too!
