Description Blahh.. The second sword I did as a gift for 's original character Demytri. It's silly how the subject came about, with it being a barter item for Demytri to spare her creator's life, but all the same, at least it's done.

This one was tough since I had forgotten a lot of my old methods, but things started to come together pretty well. What upsets me the most is the mini-blade addition. It looks as though it was added as an afterthought...which it technically was.. They were part of the original design but I didn't remember to add them until after I finished shading. >.<

Other than that though! I really enjoy this one in terms of design. I'm glad I actually chose to shade it. >.> Srsly, it sucked before. I find myself at a loss of words, which is good I suppose, so I shall close my comments now.

Used: All my usual programs, #2 mechanical pencil (hooah!), lined paper (*scream*), assortment of colored pencils. Everything I usually use. *sucks at variation*

how do you upload this and have the edges straight like that? I mean how, I guess, did you take the picture and did you crop it or not?

So so sorry for the late reply @.@ I haven't been around DA much..

Well, to answer your question, what I used to do back then was draw out designs (usually a few different hilts and a few different blades, which I would match together), then I'd "prettify" the original sketched shapes using a combination of Paint and Gimp, then I'd print out the designs to color, which I would re-scan and then add what passes as my excuse for shadingΒ Β

I find this to be a very strange coincidence, but I once designed a blade just like that! I guess great minds think alike XD lol

Awesome; indeed many weapon designs that are kick-asterisk share certain qualities To be honest though, the inspiration for this sword came from one of Auron's sword designs in FFX XP Still though, it has an air of originality to it

This is a solid sword design. You managed to make the small barbs all the same length which helps smooth over the look. They really fill out the blade.

^_^;; Funny thing that.. I take most of my drawings through MS Paint (in fact there almost isn't one I haven't), which is where I get the brunt of my editing done. I took my favorite barb from the ones I drew, cleaned it up, then made a matter of copy/pasting it along the blade. All that aside though, thank you very much for the compliments I hope it doesn't impact your appreciation for the sword too much ^-^;;

Actually, I kinda expected as much. But copy and paste is no big deal. You created the original, so therefore the copies are you creation too. ^^
