It's a psychological horror game, so people with depression should be wary, though it has a great story to it. As someone with what I think is moderate level of depression, half-way through the game I'm terrified, and the game ended well. If you're scared to play, maybe play with a friend or just watch a let's play of it; Game Grumps did a great full let's play on it.
