I love this two, and their relationship. Quite a nice bromance they got there.

In the book, Bowman's new existance was described as an "embryo god".

I recommend the second one, because it ties up the interaction between them nicely, and it's just plain slsdlslkfsd awesome. No words. :>>>>

I wanted to read the second one, but the book shop didn't have it . But's there's a quote from the movie I just love.
HAL-9000: What is going to happen?
Dave: Something wonderful.
HAL-9000: I'm afraid.
Dave: Don't be. We'll be together.
HAL-9000: Where will we be?
Dave: Where I am now.
Here's was my reaction when I saw that quote.

You can get it from Amazon or order it through BAM or Barns or something, they can get it to you. I got my copy from Amazon.
And Bowman comforting Hal UBUUBUUBUU *V*
Poor Hal, in the book it seems like no one has time to explain anything to it. It's always "I'll tell you later, Hal" or something. :<

Thanks. AWWWWWWWW. I just love these two. And I can't help but love and ship this pairing (excusez mon français) I think the reason that it somewhat works, is that both HAL and Dave have a feeling of loneliness, and for reasons that cannot be comprihended, they feel an emotional connection. I know it sounds strange, but when one thinks about it, you cannot help but notice it.

Oh, no it's not strange at all. In the second book it barely highlights on it, stating that Bowman was going to face an eternity of being a supreme being, and he no longer felt all of the emotions that a human could (though it's hinted that he could feel a little) and he wanted someone/thing in approximately his same predicament, so it worked out perfectly! More importantly it was adorable. Yeah.
And I just don't use the word ship because it always hints at romance. Shruug.

Very interesting. And with ship, I can see where you're getting at (considering that ship is short for relationship.) I even wrote a fanfic of them... It's called I can see the love in his red eye. It's on fanfiction.net. It's not the best but it's alright.

Oh, I didn't know it was short for anything, but relationships don't have to be romantic/sexual. I disagree with your ship but I won't bash you for it, don't worry. ;>

Well, with me I find it's more of a emotional connection (with a dash of romance.)
