Description

(WARNING: THIS MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR FROZEN AND MAYBE ANYTHING ELSE THAT MAY POP UP… OH, AND IF YOU DON’T LIKE POOH AT ALL, THIS MAY BE NOT FOR YOU)

“Frozen” is a 2013 Disney Animated Feature… OH, You already know what the frost is is… Everyone seems to do. Well, I wasn’t going to see it theatrically, since I am trying to convince Disney to bring back 2D by not going to see their 3D films, and since it seemed..  well.. like a band-wagon that everyone was jumping on. However, my little sister & brother were going to see it, so I felt a change of heart.

I did enjoy, but it isn’t the greatest Disney movie ever forged into existence.  I would state that it isn’t Hand-Drawn, but that isn’t really a flaw and can be overlooked, so I’ll be moving on. The characters are all likeable, but some of them seem a bit over-promoted and may feel forced by Disney (like Olaf, the lovable yet blown-out-of-proportion snowman). Anna & Elsa are nice characters- even if there have been better characters, they have a nice sister relationship (which is probably the first Disney has done for their animation canon... Only, it's not... I was reminded about Lilo and Sitch, which is a better film by the way) and show that true love isn’t just male/female romance… speaking of which, that leads me to ponder over the dark secrets that this movie might contain… “Let it Go” is a coming-out-of-the-closet song and that German/Danish storekeeper is probably gay. However, Disney won’t confirm or deny it. And also, the songs are sort of nice… But, they aren’t anyway near Disney Renaissance, Classic, or Early-2000s songs… Well, the memorable early-2000s songs that is. “Let it Go” may be good, but now it is as out-of-nowhere as that Talking Fox song. Although it is okay, the film seems a little too overpraised. As for the two Disney Princess’, some people claim “Oh, FINALLY, Women are portrayed right in an animated feature” while others complain that “Oh, emotional stereotypes” .

Now… this is where things take a turn for the worse… or maybe I am exaggerating. First, the love-interest mountain man makes a sexist joke about men. And the character of Prince Hans of the Southern Isles had some trouble with two of his twelve brothers… So, that kind of says misandry. But, I maybe am reading too deep into this. And besides, Cinderella had mean step SISTERS, so I shouldn’t complain. Of course, and spoilers, it gets too cold after this…   Hans, a young man who appears to be the one Anna probably won’t have in the end, is actually the antagonist of the movie. Yes, I said it, the hansom (or Hans-Some) young manly fellow who is all happy in the marketing is the new villain of the Disney milking-organization. I am sure you have seen the movie, so I won’t tell you his reasons for his deceit. Anyways, although the plot-twist and idea are cleaver and executed well…  well, it feels… I was left somehow cold at the end… my eyes hurt like an emotional pull… or, they just felt funny. So, now his reputation is split down the middle.  The worst part is, I got spoiled when reading video comments on a OTHER Disney Villains list (which are the ones not made by Disney Animation Studios), but I figured Hans was a secondary and anti-heroish. So, the plot-twist still was a shock.

To be honest, I think this idea I have might’ve worked better. Hans somehow forms an ego while looking over Arendelle, and decides to take over instead of breaking Anna’s curse. After the climax, he regrets and questions his actions. Thankfully, Elsa gives lightens him up with another chance and so do the rest. The Duke of Weselton (who we all thought was… the main villain?) admits that he sort is responsible for the mess as well. However, only DreamWorks Animation would do a film like that, since they have redemption stories and more developed characters. Disney just tries to show everyone as either black or white. I mean, in the audio-commentary for “Cars 2”, John Lassiter wanted to make it very clear that Lighten McQueen wasn’t to blame for his own anger towards his best friend. Sigh… plus, his name is Hans, which is the name of author Hans Christian Anderson, the author of the film’s loose source, “The Snow Queen”. That is like a Mr. Brown movie with the villain being named Theodore, or a movie about a mouse with a scary human named Walter.

When looking at Hans and Helsa artwork, I had some inspiration for something. I then decided to get up and go outside my room. “The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” was on (which is my favorite version of Pooh Bear) and it was an episode where the characters tell Piglet that he has the biggest heart despite being very small. I believe Piglet would give a warm and happy welcome to Hans if he somehow traveled to their world (like in Kingdom Hearts). I love how this turned out, but it has two flaws…  one is minor, it is that there isn’t enough of the pink-&-blue pencil marks. The other is Hans’ face… it his supposed to be the left side of it, but his eye looks more like he is blinking.

I really don’t know what else to say about this…  Well, except for what other sources this is fan art for. I will dedicate this to “Pooh’s Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin” , which is the BEST Pooh movie, and SHOULD’VE been released theatrically. And the 2011 movie, mostly because this is a new Disney age… another Disney Renaissance (at least that is what fans are saying). And to be honest, I prefer “Winnie the Pooh” over the other films in this Second DR.  it is nostalgic, charming, and leaves a warm feel-good feeling at the end (AAAH! Eat that Frozen!). And if anyone ask, I do believe that “The Princess and the Frog” started this new age (and maybe also ended the age before it).

In conclusion, hopefully there is redemption for Hans, maybe in the sequel “Burnt”. Yes, Bog Igor revealed sequel plans, so prepare to expect “Airheaded”, “Earthed”, “Struck by Lighting”, and maybe “Shine” as we;;. But, as enjoyable as Frozen is, I wouldn’t really call It a good movie at all… but, while looking through the perspective of major lovers of this film, I have one question..  Why didn’t this movie get nominated for Best Picture? And the same goes for “The Wind Rises”.

Art by I’ll draw it because no one else will.

The Walt Disney Feature Animations Studios Company owns copyright is these characters, so this is a non-profit drawing.

And A.A. Milne made Pooh & Friends. I should also mention Hans Christian Anderson.

Still, I really dislike it when someone we like ends up being the bad guy… “Chuckles”.. Hahhaam.. Mhaha.a..  Oooooooh. Now that I have won over you’re hearts with my charming picture, be sure to watch me. Tell your friends about my existence, and be sure to do… every favor I ask. Hahahahhaahahah.

This is nice artwork, but Anna and Elsa aren't the first sisters in Disney's animation canon, Nani and Lilo are.  Also, Let It Go is more of a leaving it all behind song than coming out of the closet song, and having older brothers be rude to you isn't an example of misandry, because misandry is the hatred of men.  Sorry for the corrections, I'm just letting you know.

FACEPALM! OoOooooooh... WHY DID THEY ESCAPE MY MIND WHEN WRITING THIS! And that sad part is, I believe Lilo & Sktich is probably a better movie! Oh I am so dumb!

I am aware of the song's meaning, but I have come across... one source stating that there had been rumors.

Well, the Femninist Movment hates men, and what better way to promote misandry than to creat steriotypes? Like mean order BROTHERS. But, I am just probably overracting, afterall.. Hans only mentioned two of them treating him like dirt. Sigh.. I am becoming cynicle

It's alright.... And thanks for the nice comment on ths picture
