(the chapter starts with Spyro flying high above the clouds. Spyro slowly opens his eyes and gasps, looking around for a few seconds until...)Sparx: (to the viewers) Are you kidding?! he's flying! (flying to Spyro) welcome to the club, big guy!
Spyro: Would that be the ''annoying pest'' club? -.O
Sparx: No, smart alack, the flying club. -.-
Spyro: (Chuckles) yeah, I could get used to this. OwO
Sparx: Say, where's Sophie?
Sophie: (Enters, following behind with the paraglider.) I'm right here! first time ever using a paraglider, and first time ever being off the ground. UwU
Sparx: well, considering you haven't grown wings of your own yet.
Sophie: trust me, Sparx. when I grow up and get wings of my own, I'll fly around without a care in the world!
Sparx: Is that so? I'd really like to see that.
Spyro: but still even without wings, you can still fly, Sophie!
Sophie: oh no, Spyro. I'm not flying. I'm falling...with style! (The wind blew through the paraglider Sophie was holding, passing through the dragon and the dragonfly) TO INFINITY AND BEYOND! WOOHOHOHOOOO! XD
Spyro: Hey! wait for me! (Follows the Lythian) OwO
Sparx: sheesh, Those two are sure having the time of their life. -w- Hey, wait up! (follows the two)
(the three flew above the clouds, enjoying the incredible view of the sky, some birds among them were seagulls were seen passing them by.)
Sophie: hey! there's something in the water below!
Spyro: let's take a closer look!
(the three descend down to the sea, noticing a Leviathan, a creature that resembles a giant sea turtle with three pairs of flippers, appearing on the sea surface, letting out a noise akin to a whale vocalization.)
Sophie: thats one hell of a giant sea turtle.
Spyro: what's with that hole on his shell? (descends down to the Leviathan's shell, stepping on the blowhole.) Hello? O.O
(The Leviathan releases a stream of water on Spyro, causing him to fly up again.)
Spyro: Woah! Hahahahahahaha! XD
Sophie, Sparx: O.O XD
(The Leviathan kept swimming forward, guiding the three through small islands before descending down into the ocean. Spyro, Sophie and Sparx saw something was flying towards them. )
Sophie: what are these things on these islands?
Sophie: what is- WAHHH! OAO (Evades a fireball that was shot at their direction)
Sparx: why does everything want to kill us?! from monkeys preying on us from the ground, to burning rocks being shot at us and- AAHHH!!! FLYING MONKEYS!!! OAO (Barely evades an ape that was sent flying at their direction)
Sophie: Flying Monkeys!? where?! AAAAHHH! OMO (Evades a few more apes with her paraglider)
Spyro: well, I suppose its time for a little target practice!
(Spyro shoots fireballs out of his mouth directly at the cannons and the apes that fired them, continuing his way to his, Sparx and Sophie's destination. they see snowflakes starting falling, and ice glaciers in the distance. as they made their way in, some of the glaciers collapsed to block their way into Dante's freezer, not to mention the temperatures are starting to drop rapidly. until eventually, they made it to the entrance. we hear Ignitus starting to narrate the following...)
''Dante's Freezer is a desolate arctic expanse that's littered with the machinery of war. soldiers and weapons frozen for all time in the posture of destruction. you must find Volteer and Electra, before they are lost forever...''
Spyro: (flailing in the air) How the Heck do I land?! coming in too fast!!! OmO
Sophie: Ahhhh! the wind's too strong! O~O
Sparx: this...doesn't look good. O.O;
Spyro, Sophie: INCOMING! OAO
Sparx: This is gonna hurt!
Spyro: UGH! >_< (Falls flat on the snowy ground)
Sophie: OOF! >^< (falls right on her rear)
Sparx: nice landing, ace! UwU
Sophie: (slowly gets up) ow! that...seriously hurt! I think I broke my butt! >~O;
Spyro: yeah, maybe this flying thing ain't for me.
Sparx: well, it sure doesn't help that you're carrying all that weight, ya know?
Spyro: Hey! 7^7
Sparx: throw a salad there once in a while and then you might be okay.
Spyro: (Gets up on his four legs) yeah, I think I'll stick with the ground for a while.
Sophie: (as she puts back the paraglider) yeah, me too.
Sparx: Good idea.
Spyro: (looks around) not exactly the friendly place, huh? wonder where we should start...
Sparx: well, I'm no Hero like you. but maybe we should take that clearly marked path that leads to the interior.
(as the three make their way in to the interior...)
Spyro: I wonder why this place's called Dante's freezer anyway. (looks at Sophie who was shivering from the cold) O-O;
Sophie: p-probably because its named after the ninth circle of Hell from the Divine Comedy's Dante's Inferno, which is depicted as a frozen wasteland. and by God, this place is cold as Hell!
Sparx: oh, well, in that case, I wonder if some Virgil guy is here too. UwU (flies next to a frozen statue, which strangely stared at Sparx, blinking.) is it weird that this blinked at me?
Spyro: Just keep moving.
(the ''statues'' broke free, and the ice around them breaking, revealing they were undead Skeleton Warriors.)
Sparx: AH! ICE CUBES ALIVE! OAO
(Spyro and Sophie briefly fought the troll using their fire element, killing him.)
Spyro: well, that was a one of a kind greeting, hehe.
Sophie: and not the friendly type!
Sparx: I'll say... U.U'
(they notice a pack of bombs on a small catapult laying on the snow, and a locked gate in the distance.)
Sophie: huh...the gate's locked.
Sparx: why don't we use this thing to knock the door down?
Spyro: hehe. I knew I brought you along for a reason. -w- (blows fire onto the pack of bombs)
Sophie: uhhh...does anyone know how it works?
Sparx: (looks down) well...I guess we just have to pull this lever right here and- AAAAH!!! OAO
(Sparx touched the lever, activating the catapult, as it threw the bomb pack straight to the gate, blowing it up.)
Sophie: O.O Well...that worked.
Spyro: that was a good idea! glad I thought of it.
Sparx: You? Glad?! YOU?! NO!
(As soon as they made their way in, the apes spotted them and charge at them.)
Sophie: well, whaddya know? more killer monkeys.
Spyro: (stands up on his hind legs, doing a kung fu dragon stance, a gong ringing in the background as he does so) Bring it! Ò^Ó
Sophie: (pulls out her dagger, doing a ninja stance) come at us, ya filthy baboons! Ò^Ó
(the apes charge at the three, only to be defeated by Spyro and Sophie's combat skills and their fire element, one after another. they proceed further, fighting a few more apes on the way. not knowing that an ape was watching them with his turret. he smirked, locked on Spyro, and shot a stream of ice at him, freezing him.)
Spyro: O~O !!!
Sophie: Spyro!!! OAO
Ape Gunner: HAHAHAHAHA! XD
Sophie: (looks at the ape gunner, growling) Ò~Ó
(she pulls her slingshot out, taking out a small rock. pulling the string of the slingshot, taking aim and shot at the laughing ape, right in the head, causing him to fall over backwards, straight to a tree that in turn had snow fall over him.)
Ape Gunner: (Comes out of the snow) Grrrr! Stupid Girl! Huh?! (sees the Lythian child)
Sophie: Hey! that one's for my friend! HAH! (punches him so hard in the face, she knocks him out cold)
Ape Gunner: OOF! (Collapses backwards)
Sparx: >~O Ouch!
Sophie: (jumps back, looking at Spyro) are you okay?
Spyro: yeah, thanks, Sophie. I'm really happy we added you to the group.
Sophie: Hehe! no problem, Spyro.
(as the three proceeded further through Dante's freezer...)
Sophie: we've been walking through a war torn frozen wasteland, inhabited by an army of undead soldiers and apes. there's an overwhelming feeling of sorrow and dread as we trek on through the snow. and still no sign of an electric guardian whatsoever. U.U
(flap, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP)
Spyro, Sophie, Sparx: O.O !!!
Sophie: do you guys hear that, or is it just me? O.O
Sparx: You think that was Cynder?
Spyro: I sure hope so...
Sparx, Sophie: What?!
Sophie: What do you mean by that?
Spyro: well, if it wasn't, that means there's more than one giant evil dragon around here.
Sparx: Oh, yeah...I hope that was Cynder too.
Sophie: but lets just hope she doesn't spot us! hm? (looks over to sees an ape leader speaking with a russian accent, and an ogre with a scottish accent chatting with each other.)
Sparx: Why do I get the feeling we shouldn't be here?
Sophie: Just act cool, Sparx. pun entirely intended.
Ape Leader: Cynder gave us direct orders to look out for a tiny purple dragon and a lythian child in blue that my men spotted earlier.
Ogre: Aye! they know those two bubbly guardians are trapped here. of course, the Lythian managed to escape, but the Ice King holds that dragon until his power is drained into that crystal! you have my word, lad.
Ape Leader: it won't take too long! hrm? (notices the three) well, well, well...what do we have here? a tiny dragon and a lythian kid lost in the snow!
Ogre: I'm Gaunnae kill them! (strikes his sword at their direction.)
(Spyro and Sophie dodge and dive into the snow to get past the ogre.)
Ogre: Uh? where'd the laddies go?
(the two burst out of the snow and onto a wooden platform, facing the ape that picked up a barrel of bombs, throwing it at them. the two jump up over the barrel like they were in a Donkey Kong game. Spyro slid past the ape, but the ape knocks Sophie a little with his leg.)
Sophie: Ow! >m<
Ape Leader: hehehehe! where do you think you're going, little girl?
Sophie: (gets up, facing the ape) Ò~Ó
Sparx: Spyro, I think Sophie's in trouble!
Spyro: (looks over at other barrels of bombs. he takes out one dynamite, sets the small rope on fire and throws it at the ape and the ogre's direction, shouting...) FIRE IN THE HOLE!
Sophie: Wha...? O.O (gasps when she sees the bomb, being thrown next to the ape, and runs, hiding in the snow from the incoming explosion.)
Ogre, Ape: Uh Ohhh... O.O;
(BOOOOOOOOOOM)
(Spyro and Sparx come out, searching for Sophie briefly before spotting her bursting out of the snow she hid in, before they proceeded further. moments later, an electric stream was fired at Spyro and Sophie, electrocuting them.)
Sparx: LOOK OUT!
Sophie, Spyro: !!!
(the two collapse on the snowy ground, yellow electric currents running across their bodies.)
Sparx: Spyro, Sophie, are you two okay?!
(three trolls came out charging at the two. Spyro utilizes the electric energy, with Sophie getting up on one knee, and they both zap the three trolls to death with a stream of electricity.)
Sparx: Whoooo! I guess so!
Sophie: What the Heck? was that... (looks at her hands, seeing the small yellow electric currents) Lightning? O.O
Spyro: I guess so. O.O
(Moments later, as they proceed further, they see Apes and Trolls fighting each other to the death)
Sophie: what in the name of....? they're trying to kill us, and now they're trying to kill each other. what the Hell is going on around here?
Sparx: something tells me that they're fighting for leadership over this island.
Spyro: this whole Island is at war. that's probably what Cynder wants...to be like a peace maker at the very last moment to gain control over them. but I still don't see how Volteer and Electra, and the other guardians have to do with this.
Sparx: what are you going on about, purple boy? 7.7
Spyro: oh, don't mind me. I'm just thinking out loud.
Sparx: well, stop it, you're freaking me out. it's like you're talking to voices in your head or something. -.-
Sophie: we need a way to get around without attracting any attention to us. (a small rock was thrown at her forehead) Ow! >~O what in the...?
(they look to see an ape laughing and blowing a raspberry at them. it was the same ape Sophie knocked out back there...)
Sophie: Oh, its that stupid monkey I punched in the face.
(The ape ran off, as more apes came running, surrounding the three.)
Spyro: That was an ambush, wasn't it? -.-'
Sparx: Yeeeep. U.U
Sophie: Well, Shit. -_- in that case... Lets bring out the LIGHTNING! (electric currents run around her small body)
(Spyro and Sophie fought through the apes with their Flames and their newly acquired Electricity element, the power over Lightning. once they finished them off, they burst through a wooden door, dive into the snow and dash forward to avoid being spotted by the apes, who were minding their own business. some were ice skating to pass the time, others were chatting with their russian accent, not noticing Sparx, Spyro and Sophie at all. Sophie passed by a random snowman with a hat built by one of the apes.)
Sophie: Hey, that one looks like Frosty. OwO
Spyro: Frosty? O.O
Sophie: A living Snowman I know back where I was raised.
Sparx: I dunno who that Frosty is, but that's a guy I'd like to meet someday.
(then, they kept advancing forward, without the apes ever noticing them.)
(The three made it into a small snowy cavern. Spyro and Sophie look up and saw sharp icicles right above them)
Sophie: (Gulp) OmO
Spyro: (Whispering) Sparx...Sophie...don't...make any loud sound. O.O
Sparx: what?
Spyro: Don't make any sound! 7.7
Sparx: What?!
Spyro: (annoyed) I said don't make any loud sound!!! ÒAÓ'
(Spyro's shout made the icicles shake, and start collapsing.)
Spyro: Oops... O.O;
Sophie: (Facepalms) Really, Spyro?! >~<;
(the three went as fast as they could to run from the icicles that fell on the snowy bridge they were crossing. not before Spyro slipped on an icy platform, Sparx falling on him, and Sophie falling over next to him.)
(they hear the ice crack on the platform, as it started moving downards.)
Sparx: this can't be good. O.O;
Spyro and Sophie: Uh Oh... O_O;
(and the icy platform Spyro, Sparx and Sophie were on collapsed, as they began falling downwards.)
Spyro, Sparx, Sophie: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! OAO
(and so, the three, on the same icy platform started to slide through the ice and snow. Sophie holding Spyro from behind tight, and Sparx holding onto Spyro's wing. the three were screaming their lungs out as they pass through the icy paths and caverns. the Lythian saw a large skeleton whose spine acted like as bridge...)
Sophie: Captain! Skeleton Bridge Ahead! along with an ice ramp! OAO
Spyro: OAO
(the icy platform rumbled as it went through the spinal cord, and were sent flying up from an ice ramp that stood on the head of the skeleton. briefly catching the attention of two apes.)
Ape 1: Ya! you see dat?
Ape 2: what is dis?
(they once again pass through an ice cavern, a few trolls spot them briefly)
Troll 1: Aye! ye see somethin'?
Troll 2: I dunno, I think Ma heid’s loupin.
(the trio then burst through the ice. it caused the ice platform to split in two. Sophie was on one piece, while Spyro and Sparx were on the other. then, they hear a loud rumbling noise. looking behind them, they see an avalanche.)
Sophie: WOAH! OAO
(As soon as they descend to the ground, Sophie used the piece of the ice platform she had as a snowboard to escape the avalanche, following Spyro who held his piece of the platform tightly in his claws, and Sparx who was attached to his wing.)
(Sophie's screams to laughter as she snowboarded on the platform piece, evading nearby trees, alongside Spyro and Sparx, even performing tricks in mid-air after jumping from icy ramps.)
Spyro: Woah! How are you doing this, Sophie?!
Sophie: if there's three things ya need to know in this situation, its the following three: 1. Be cool 2. Be wild and 3. Be groovy! (jumps from a rock that acts as a ramp) WOOOOHOHOHOOOO! XD
Spyro: O.O Hey! Get back here! (Follows Sophie with his ''snowboard'') XD
(Spyro then sees an icy ramp in his direction, and jumps up, passing Sophie.)
Spyro: WOOOHOOO! XD
Sparx: AHHHH! OAO
Spyro: Later, Sophie! >wO
Sophie: HEY! XD
(then, they notice they're heading towards a cliff. they soon jump up with their ''snowboards'' the snow of the avalanche falling down. seeing how high the three were, they screamed their lungs out as the snow consumed them while falling, all the way into the snowy ground beneath them.)
(seconds later after they fell, Spyro and Sparx jumped out of the snow. Sophie pops her head out of the snow, and getting out of it.)
Sparx, Spyro: Dude... O.O THAT. WAS. TOTALLY AWESOME! OWO
Sophie: WOOHOO! YES! WHO'S UP FOR ROUND TWO?! XD
''AHEM!''
All Three: !! O.O''
(They look around and saw themselves surrounded by Trolls, Troll Horsemen and Ogres, surrounding them.)
Sophie: (Waves at them, nervously) H-Hey, Hehehehe... wassup, People? OwO'
Ogre: Get 'em!
(the trolls, troll horsemen and ogres charge at them. the three braced themselves until, an electric stream was fired at them from above.)
Sophie, Sparx, Spyro: Huh? O.O
Sophie: what was that?
(She looks up and saw a blonde Lythian clad in yellow and blue, with electric currents emanating from her, and through her yellow angelic wings. and she is not looking happy. not at the enemies at least...)
???: (flies down, covering the three) Ya'll better leave 'em alone, or I'd zap your brains out! (turns to Spyro, Sophie and Sparx) hehe! just leave them to me!
Troll: Its the Lythian's Lightning guardian!
Ogre: The Lythians' Yellow Thunderbolt. the apes are all out there looking for ye. and yet we are the ones who have found you first! surrender yourself, and we might let you and your dragon live!
???: Not a chance, ya ugly zombie! (pulls out her twin thunder daggers)
(and so, the three watch the fight between the undead army and the Lythian Guardian of Electricity. she moved swiftly, using her element to paralyze, and shock her foes, and her daggers to deliver heavy damage onto them.)
???: Electric Element: Lightning Bolt!
(the Lythian sends out a powerful lightning bolt from her hand, electrocuting the remaining enemies, killing them swiftly.)
Spyro,Sparx: Woah...! OoO
Sparx: that WAS quite shocking.
Sophie: thanks for helping us!
???: Hehe! don't mention it! b'sides, what are you kids doing here in this barren frozen wasteland?
Spyro: we're looking for two Electricity Guardians, one is a dragon, the other is a lythian. we were told they were here in this place.
???: Well, you guys hit the jackpot, 'cause you found one of us!
(Spyro, Sparx and Sophie gasp)
Sophie: then...does that mean you're really...the Lythians' Guardian of Electricity?
???: Yep! and because of my element, they call me Electra!
