Description
*tick tock, tick tock, tick tock*The ticking of a nearby clock was the first thing Sophie heard when she opened your eyes. With a slight groan, she rubbed the side of her head, before sitting up slowly.
Sophie: Where..am I..? (Glancing down, she realized she was in some sort of cot, then thinks as her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. ) How did I...get here..?' Last time I checked... I was running from Bendy...and then..I saw Boris-'
(And just like that, all of her memories came flooding back to her: The Ink Machine, the demonic Bendy, the Searchers, Sammy Lawrence, and...Boris.)
Sophie: I must have passed out again earlier; whether it was from the shock of seeing the wolf toon alive or simply because I was so disoriented from the events that transpired...I'm not entirely certain. But regardless, I'm grateful to be alive, though I can't help but wonder if he was the one who brought me here...
(After getting up and stretching out her arms, she looked around to see she was in a small, comfy room with a Bendy clock on the opposite wall. His arms and legs gently swayed side-to-side. Sophie giggled a bit as she stared at the device for a few moments longer, before she decided to head out of the room and find out where Boris was.
Pushing the door open, the blue angel made her way down the corridor, walking past the bathroom, before making a right turn and entering a larger area where there was a small kitchen and Boris sitting down at a table.
He was tapping his fingers lightly against the surface, bobbing his head up and down to the classical music that came from the speakers.)
Sophie: (inhales, then exhales) Hey, Boris.
(Once he noticed her standing there, and hearing her voice, he immediately perked up, smiling at her silently as she approaches him.)
Sophie: I didn't expect I'd see you...were you the one who brought me here?
(Boris nods silently, then, in a sign language asks Sophie how she feels.)
Sophie: huh? you're asking me how I'm feeling?
(once again, Boris nods)
Sophie: well... Better, I suppose. a lot of things happened, and it's difficult to explain it. last thing I remember before passing out was being chased by Bendy, and then I see you coming out, and...ugh... why did I have to come to this building in the first place? -m- I wanna go home and be with my friends and family.
(the toon looks at her sadly...friends...family... a glimpse of his former life as a human flashed in his mind, but it was blurred. staring at Sophie, who was the first to arrive to this studio after it was abandoned for decades. he wondered how much time has passed in the outside world.
For some time, she and Boris played cards, gobbled down some Bacon Soup (which tasted a hundred times better when she cooked it) to keep themselves distracted. moments later, Sophie stares at the "wall art" that consists of 7 scraps of paper that are torn pieces of Bendy posters that were made to depict this Boris' former human self. she recalled that the searchers were once humans that were turned into monsters...maybe this Boris that is with her...was he a human too? she wondered to herself.
But eventually she had to ask him if there was some way for her to get out of this place, as she had her own home and life to return to. At first he did seem sad when she asked those things, although when she promised him she wouldn't leave him behind in this cursed studio...his mood perked and he guided her towards a door.
It was missing a lever, which he had and inserted it into the slots beside the door. It opened as he pushed the lever down.)
Sophie: Thanks, Buddy
(then, the two both walked through the door, side by side.)
As she rounded the corner, she noticed something that looked much like an outhouse, with a sign above it labeled "Little Miracle Station" and a black halo painted on the door. she couldn't make out what they were exactly used for, so she simply shrugged and continued on.
She and Buddy Boris wandered into another room full of turning gears and clanking machinery. It was awfully dark, but luckily there was a flashlight on the workbench before the room that she used to navigate through it.
Before long, she came across a metal door that was shut.)
Sophie: Damn it...a dead end. you got any ideas, buddy?
(at her question, Buddy Boris found a way out, by finding a hole in an opened vent, he crouches, then crawls inside. After a few seconds, the vent closes. The huge door opened itself, and Sophie goes through it.
what she sees next made her stop in her tracks...)
Sophie: Wow... OoO
(It was a gigantic room, which housed several sofas and giant, plush toys of Bendy and Boris. Gazing upwards with awe, you could see the large sign labeled "HEAVENLY TOYS" and an ink waterfall flowing down behind it. there are a few toys there, including a Boris plushie, a Bendy, and a larger Bendy plushie.)
Sophie: this is amazing...!
(she continued onwards, up the stairs and into the workshop where the plushies were produced. It was then she noticed a door behind one of the shelves...which automatically told her that she had to move it somehow to get through.
So she backtracked to the lever she saw outside and pulled it, although it wasn't until she went back in that Sophie realized there were some plushies clogging the giant wheels, preventing them from turning. With an annoyed sigh, the angel removed them and set them on the desk, before turning on the machine.
Glancing over, Sophie waited to the shelves of toy to slide over on the track and passed through as soon as you were given a clear opening. It was then she spotted a tiny little ink blob in a bowl on the desk.
she poked the top of it with her finger, and gasped as the blob turned into the shape of Bendy's head. she chuckled, playing with it some more, watching it morph into Boris' head next, and then Alice, and finally the Ink Machine, before going right back to Bendy. next to it, was another audio log, and she decides to play it...)
"I don't be seein' what the big deal is.
So what if I went and painted some of those Bendy dolls with a crooked smile?
That's sure no reason for Mr. Drew to be flyin' off the handle at me. And if he really wants to be so helpful, he could be tellin' me what I'm to be doin' with this warehouse I got full of that angel whatchamacallit. Not a scrap of that mess be a-sellin'!
Probably have to melt it all down to be rid of it all."
Sophie: hold up! that guy sounds like Jacksepticeye! I swear there are similarities in their voices! still, I pity the guy in the audio recorder.
(then, she continues on through the door. Opening it, Sophie stumbled into a room that was filled with Alice dolls, as well as a cardboard cutout of her and several mini T.Vs hooked up. And at the far end, was a large window with a scrolled sign reading: "SHE'S QUITE A GAL" above it. Truth be told, Sophie did have a soft spot for the angel. She was certainly "quite a gal". she was her second favorite character next to Bendy in the 1930s cartoons she watched as a child.
she stepped forward a couple of feet, only to stop as the door behind her slammed shut and the lights immediately dimmed. Confused, Sophie glanced up at the T.Vs, seeing Alice's face on all of them as her voice began singing a song.)
''I'm the cutest little angel, sent from above, and I know just how to swing.
I got a bright little halo, and I'm filled with love...
I'm Alice Angel!
I'm the hit of the party, I'm the belle of the ball, I'm the toast of every town.
Just one little dance, and I know you'll fall...
I'm Alice Angel!
I ain't no flapper, I'm a classy dish, and boy, can this girl sing.
This gal can grant your every wish...''
( as the song played, Sophie saw the window light up to reveal a room with another door that had a halo painted on it, along with some cardboard clouds on the floor. she walked up to the glass, peering inside and- )
"I'M ALICE ANGEL!!!!"
(Out of nowhere, a tall, feminine figure suddenly popped up, slamming her fists against the window. Sophie let out a scream of terror, staggering backwards with wide, horrified eyes from that sudden jumpscare as she took in her appearance:
She looked just like Alice, except for the fact that her right eye was a bright yellow, the left side of her face was melted, exposing part of her teeth, and her left eye socket was completely hollow.
"Alice" let out a scream as she punched through the glass, shattering it. And at that same moment the lights in the room flickered off, plunging Sophie into total darkness.
she then heard her sinister laughter. )
Sophie: Mmmm...! OmO (looks around the pitch black darkness, unable to see anything completely)
"I see you there~ A new fly in my endless web.''
(her eyes widened in bewilderment as she looked around, wondering where the voice was coming from.)
"Come along now. Let's see if you're worthy to walk with angels~"
(After that, the lights returned to normal, as if nothing ever happened...save for the now broken window. Sophie lowered her arms, checking to see if she had any bits of glass stuck in her.
she was relieved when she didn't, so Sophie decided to continue through the gate that was opened beside her.
Eventually, Sophie did come to a fork in the road. Before her, stood a street sign pointing two ways: one was labeled "THE DEMON" and the other was "THE ANGEL".
Something told her that taking the Angel route would be a bad choice, despite herself being an angel. so she trusted her gut and decided to go with the Demon Path. As she walked down the "Demon Path", she heard the sound of a gate slamming shut, making her jump a bit, although she shook it off and continued on.
Still, she wondered just what exactly Alice--if who she saw earlier was truly her--wanted with her. So perhaps going down this way would give Sophie some answer.
Instead, she came across The floor of the "demon path" that is flooded with ink. It has ink dripping from the ceiling that resembles pillars. Strangely enough, the projector, the shelf, and one of the chairs are entirely black to match the ink's color
With a sigh, Sophie sat down, figuring she could rest for a bit, and played a nearby audio log, although what she heard made her feel uneasy...for this voice belonged to none other than Joey Drew himself in the tape...)
''There's nothing wrong with dreaming. Wishing for the impossible is just human nature. That's how I got started. Just a pencil and a dream. We all want everything without even having to lift a finger. They say you just have to believe.
Belief can make you succeed.
Belief can make you rich.
Belief can make you powerful.
Why with enough belief, you can even cheat death itself.
Now that... is a beautiful, and positively silly thought.''
Sophie: well, judging from all the previous tapes I listened to, I can assume that Joey Drew was a really ambitious man with dreams and goals of his own. but... his way of thinking was wrong. corrupt even. I mean, there's the Ink Machine, and many places in the studio are literally flooded with Ink. I guess that explains why there's- wait a minute... I heard in one audio log in the Music Department, that Susie Campbell was practically inseparable from Alice. Since Joey Hired her, Playing her role meant everything to her. And if anyone tried to take that away, there wasn't a doubt in my mind that she'd do anything to be with the toon again...even if it meant... wait...oh God no. O.O
(the horrific realization came to her mind, she immediately sprang up from the chair.)
Sophie: I've gotta warn Boris!
(Sophie then took off down the corridor, making several sharp turns until she skidded to a stop as a Bendy cutout suddenly peeked around the corner.)
Sophie: GAHH! OAO
(The cardboard fell to the floor, and Sophie peeked around the corner to see that it was none other than Boris himself. He had his eyes covered as he whimpered, his legs shaking slightly.)
Sophie: Boris! (sighs) you had me scared right there! (seeing that he was scared himself) h-hey! it's just me! calm down, okay?
(Slowly, but surely, the wolf uncovered his eyes, looking down at Sophie.)
Sophie: listen...we may have a slight problem. It's Alice. there's something really off about her.
(Buddy Boris began to whimper and shake in terror at the mention of her name. which made her realize that he was scared of her.)
Sophie: I know you're scared. I'm scared, too. But I promise... everything's gonna be alright. We'll find her, see what she wants, and try not get killed in the process. But I'll bash her face in if she so much as lays a finger on you, alright? I'll protect you, Boris...just as you protected me...I'm not gonna leave this place without you. And that's a promise I intend to keep.
(The wolf stared down at Sophie for a couple seconds longer. Though before long, he smiled at her and nodded his head, before he brought her into a hug. she was surprised at the sudden gesture, but With a soft sigh, she put her arms around him, returning the hug.)
Sophie: I won't leave you to your fate, buddy.... Now let's go find this so-called "angel".
(moments later, Sophie and Buddy Boris stuck close together, watching each other's backs as they both ventured further into the studio, armed with nothing but a metal, ink-stained pipe to defend themselves with. and Sophie hopes she can still summon the celestial sword again to protect herself. since the studio's haunting and dark environment prevents her from using her powers like she usually does.)
still, a pipe and a magical sword...it was better than having nothing at all, right?
(Eventually, they hit yet another roadblock: a metal door that seemed to be connected by two power cables. they saw that there was one lever right next to it, and the other was down the corridor to her left.)
Sophie: I'll go get the other one, Buddy. You stay at this one and wait for my signal.
(The wolf toon nodded in understanding, walking over to the lever.)
(Sophie turned the other direction and went down the hallway, taking a left turn, although she stopped when she noticed a poster she haven't seen anywhere else: It was one that had the infamous "Butcher Gang" on it. If she remembered correctly, their names were Barley, Charley, and Edgar.
Shrugging, she continued down the hall towards the lever.
But then, out of nowhere, a short, horrifying inky figure that resembled Charley suddenly ripped through the poster, letting out a loud snarl as it tumbled out of it.
It limped towards her, swinging the pipe wrench in its hand violently. With wide eyes, Sophie staggered back a few feet, her first instinct telling her to run back to Buddy Boris.
But she shook her head, discarding that thought and, with a war cry, she punched it in the face several times. It fell to the floor, letting out a grunt of pain, but she continued to attack it with her fists until she knew for sure it was dead. Once she saw it dissolve into ink, she wiped the sweat from her forehead, before looking back at the lever and pulling it.
After that, Sophie spotted another tape, and decides to play it...listening to the voice of not one, but two people.)
WALLY:
"Alright let's go over this again.
If the pressure goes over 45, I screw the safety bolt in tighter, right?"
THOMAS:
"No! For the last time, you do that, you'll blow every pipe in this place! If it reaches 45, you unhook the safety switch."
WALLY:
"You sure? You know, this sounds harder then comparing ear wax to bee's wax!"
THOMAS:
"Look, it's not that difficult!
Just keep an eye on the gauge!"
WALLY:
"Look pal, if you think I'm doing my job AND yours, I'm outta here!"
(Sophie shrugs and she runs back to Buddy Boris, and then they both headed through the door, finding themselves to be on "Level K", which contained a few Miracle Stations as well as the elevator. Sophie followed Buddy Boris into it, but just as she was about to select a level, the gates suddenly shut by themselves.)
"You're so interesting...so different.."
Sophie: Alice...
''I have to say I'm an instant fan. Looks like you've got a date with an angel~ Come to me now...Level 9. Just follow the screams.''
Sophie: well, guess there's no turning back now.
(soon, they arrived at Level 9. "Alice"'s voice came over the intercoms again, urging them both to "step out of your cage".
The two of them quickly walked out and headed towards the metal doors where, above them, there was another "SHE'S QUITE A GAL" banner with a giant, animatronic Alice head and hands over it. Once she opened the doors for her, Boris abruptly picked up his pace, practically sprinting through them.
Sophie: W-Wait! Boris where are you going?!
(she runs after him, although once she turned the corner, she skidded to a stop as she was met with a rather shocking sight:
Boris was standing in front of what appeared to be a deceased clone of himself strapped to an operating table.
Sophie covered her mouth in horror, before she took a look around and realized there was not one...but dozens of dead clones just like him all around the room, along with clones of the Butcher Gang.
The wolf toon ignored you, continuing to stare at his dead self with a bit of sadness in his eyes.)
(she figured he might be having an identity crisis, or something of that sort, so she sighed and put a hand on his shoulder, gently rubbing it.)
Sophie: I..I don't know what to say, Boris...but...I gotta go see Alice, okay? Just...meet me back in the elevator, okay?
(He didn't look at her, or even nod for that matter....but she had to get going.)
(With a sigh, she left him and carefully walked across the planks to the other side of the room. along the way, she finds another tape and decides to play it, listening to the voice of Susie Campbell.)
''Who would have thought?
Me having lunch with Joey Drew! Apparently times are tougher than I thought.
For a moment there, I thought I'd be stuck with the check.
But I gotta say, he wasn't at all what I expected.
Quite the charmer.
He even called me Alice.
I liked it".
(after the recording ended, "Alice" immediately said something that stunned Sophie.)
"Look around. It took so many of them to make me so beautiful. Anything less than perfect was left behind."
( Then her voice became a bit softer and..innocent sounding, which grimly reminded her of a certain angel.)
"I had to do it...she made me.."
Sophie: (thinking, with a frown on her face) so...they really are one and the same, huh?
(Eventually, she came into a room where, behind a large glass window, Sophie could see "Alice" at a panel, pressing a button that sent electric shocks to a Charley clone strapped to an operating table. It let out several grunts of pain as it convulsed violently.
Upon noticing her presence, she stopped electrocuting the ink creature and glanced over at the blue angel. Even now, her appearance still sent a chill down her spine.)
''Alice'': Hmm. Now we come to the question...do I kill you? Do I tear you apart to my heart's delight?
Sophie: O.O ... (looks down, unable to say anything.)
''Alice'': The choices of the beautiful are unbearable. How's a girl to choose? (chuckles for a bit, then stops moments later, her face settling back into a scowl as she gestured to Charley.) Take this little freak for instance! He crawled in here, trailing his tainted ink to my door! It could have touched me. It could have pulled me back!
( she looked as if she was in pain, before her voice transitioned back to Alice's tone.)
''Alice'': (shuddering) Do you know what it's like? Living in the dark puddles?
(her shaking hands were hovering closer to her face. And then it went back to "Alice" as she clenched her fists.)
Sophie: living in the...dark puddles...? O.O
''Alice'': It's a buzzing, screaming well of voices! Bits of your mind swimming like...like fish in a bowl! The first time I was born from its inky womb. I was a wiggling, pussing, shapeless slug. The second time, well...it made me an angel~!
Sophie: (thinking) God, a part of me really feels bad for her...
''Alice'': Yes, I will spare you...for now. Better yet, I'll even let you ascend and leave this place.
Sophie: R-Really?
''Alice'': if you will do a few eensey, weensy little favors for me first.
Sophie: Ugh, I knew there had to be a catch. 7.7'
''Alice'': Return to the lift my little errand girl. We have work to do.
(Before Sophie could protest, she slammed her fist on one of the buttons, causing metal shutters to collapse over the window, blocking her view of her as she went back to torturing her victim.)
Sophie: Good lord...well...I guess I should head back and get started to do that so called angel's bidding before she decides to change her mind. -.-;
