*they arrive at Eyokir’s manor house. Noise of singing birds and uptown traffic*

Big: Wooooooooh. Now THAT is a house! *echo*

Tails: Big, I think I saw this house on ‘Soleanna’s most haunted’

Bark: Well it’s certainly going to be more comfortable a stay for Hare

*Hare lies on a stretcher between Bark and Bean, bandages wrapped around his chest. There are groaning noises*

Honey: Has he been in a brawl?

Hare *grunting* No I have not been in a brawl! Some crazy guy with a staff smashed my rib cage in!

Honey *skeptical* More likely you got drunk.

Hare: Drunk!?

*they enter the building and their sounds echo*

Honey: Well let me take care of those ribs. Lay him down

Sonic: *puzzled* Take care of them?

*whooshing noise, the power of her armour activated. Hare’s injuries are healed**

Hare: My ribs.., they… they’re alright.. I don’t feel any pain!

Eyokir: Well done Honey

*he comes down the stairs with Lina beside him, arm in arm and his voice gets nearer*

Eyokir: You learn more about the armour of sir galon every day

Honey: Thank you master.

Eyokir: *to the group* Welcome to the house of Eyokir. My name is Count Eyokir. Let me introduce my wife, Lina.

Lina: Greetings

Eyokir: I have had rooms prepared for you all. I do hope you enjoy your stay.

Big: *to Tails* Tails, this set up is suddenly giving me the creeps

Eyokir: But before we go into dinner, I would like to talk to Sonic and Miss Rose alone. There is something of vital importance I wish to discuss with them in private.

Amy and Sonic: huh?

Eyokir: *to Lina* My love, would you and Honey please take our guests into dinner and ensure they are comfortable and content?

Lina: Of course beloved.
Honey: As you wish master.

SCENE 3:
(inside Eyokir’s study. Creaking open and shutting of a door)

Sonic: ... alright. What did you want to talk about?

Eyokir: First off, you need not tiptoe around certain subjects with me. I know all about your connections with the Thieves Guild, your hunt for the Chaos Emeralds, your current fugitive status in Midgard and I know you have a Chaos Emerald with you right now.

*stunned silence*

Amy: *awkward* Well… that certainly puts thing on a strange footing.

Eyokir: May I see it?

Sonic *hesitates, before producing the blue Chaos Emerald. Eyokir stares at it. There is the sound of the emeralds power hum*

Eytokir: Magnificent!

*he sits down in his chair, thud noise*

Eyokir: Then it has begun. Just as Merlina said it would.

Sonic: What you talking about willis??

Eyokir: Sonic, Amy… the two of you are at the centre of events thousands of years in the making… ever since the Chaos Emeralds were first made and even beyond that.

Eyokir: I have been waiting for your arrival on the world stage for quite some time.

Amy: What are you talking about?

Eyokir: Perchance, have either of you have heard of the Paxian Codex?

*they stare blankly at him. Silence broken only by ticking close noise*

Eyokir: *chuckle* I hadn’t thought so. Thousands of years ago, after the Echidna’s fell from grace… the creator of the emeralds, Pax, appeared to them as an ascended being and told them that one day a terrible evil would rise to envelop the world and when that happened a hero would come to save it

*as he speaks, there is a mystic soundtrack*

Eyokir: you are that hero, Sonic the Hedgehog

*there is a moment of silence*

Sonic *bursts out laughing* AH...HAHAHAHAHAH!!

Eyokir: Have I said something amusing?

Sonic: Me... you think I’m the messiah?

Eyokir: Yes as I matter of fact, I do.

Sonic: *laughin* You’re too much! Well… thanks for the housing and food… but otherwise, I gotta say. You’re crazy!

*he leaves, leaving Amy and Eyokir staring at each other. Moment of silence.*

Amy: *scared* If he is the... then what am I?

Eyokir: *interrupting* No no... It’s clear to me now… neither of you are ready yet to know.

*he goes to the door*

Eyokir: For now, rest and eat. This can wait until the two of you are ready to hear it.

Amy: *is door opens and closes. Amy gives a little worried moan*

SCENE 4:

(later that night, Sonic is wandering through Eyokir’s manor house coming back from the bathroom. He is humming but stops when he hears an old pulsing nose)

Sonic: huh?

*footsteps sounds as the pulsing noise gets louder, he has entered a room.

Sonic: looks like Eyokir’s private museum… er yuck that thing looks like an eyeball… *clunk sound as he touches the glass display case and a discharge of energy, a zap. The pulsing noise is suddenly gone*

Sonic: ow! Hey…I..I…

*pause with heavy breathing and thudding heartbeat*

Sonic: I don’t… feel so good

*stagger footsteps and sounds of transformation*

Sonic: Wha...what’s happening.. to meeeeaggGHHHHHHHH!!!!!! *voices dies over into an animal snarl*

*sounds of transformation, clothes tearing. A window shatters and something runs off, heavy footsteps and animal grunts*
