This is a great photo and subject. You have lit the scene well and made wonderful use of DOF.
If you were to shoot this again I would recommend lowering your angle of elevation to the book and watch to no less than 20 and no more than 30 degrees. Also increasing the angle that the book is turned to about 30 degrees will give your photo more depth and also make the book appear more intentional and less accidental. If you want to keep emphasis on the watch face you can use the seam of the book binding to keep the watch face tilted towards the camera. Try it out, I think you will like the results. The nice thing about still life photography is you can do it over and try different looks.

I have an old watch like this but it is not gold and doesn't shine. It has decorations round the outside.
