the mushroom is actually consuming the pokemon and its taken over its mind. thats why it has blank white eyes its being controlled by the mushroom

I have no idea why I've always loved Parasect (it does have one of the coolest sounds in the game and voice in the cartoon), but I have. This is fantastic.

Those purple bulbs on there look like they burst the second you touch them and ooze some nasty liquid. Some nasty, zombificating fungus liquid.

Ahh, parasect. While I would have liked to see all of parasect's potential for sheer zombie horror put to use, I do rather like this quaint, very alien, crustacean-looking critter. Kind of looks like something you'd see in the less scenic parts of Pandora. And you did at least give it a great parascoping eyeball bulging out of its socket like a lightbulb.
That drool coming from that beak makes me glad it's as small as it is. Also, those oozing purple spots make me somewhere in between feeling really hungry for plum pie, or never wanting to eat plum pie ever again. Good work.

It's looks like you took that head-creature version of the Thing from John Carpenter's "The Thing" and combined it with a mushroom. And it looks awesome!

Do you read bulbapedia's origin stories? This is surprisingly similiar to how i would've imagined Parasect after reading its origin story.

at long last someone creds the parasect (although crappy statgain and like no real strenght but its awesome movepool which allows parasect to learn Spore and therefore making it a half decent pokemon) as a pokemon that should not be forgotten

Out of all the pokemon you've drawn, I think this one is the one that has retained most of it's original design.
Nice style. Hope you'll do one of Squirtle as well, seeing as you did Charmander and Bulbasaur

I love this! You made such a flat character so much more lively and believable. He's got so much personality he didn't have before. I love your painting style too - looking at your gallery, you have a lovely refined style. Nicely done!
