What are Mythsune?

Mythsunes are small foxes/kitsunes (Ranging from 50 - 80 inches fully grown) that carry the scrolls of all the nation's mythology and hidden folklore - and even out of world stories from across the stars, spreading word of these myths around humans and other critters - though very rarely seen due to their rather shy natures. Mythsune can even harbour different elements, most commonly seen being fire - but elements such as Ice, Water, Lightning, Ethereal, Air, Darkness and even Celestial have been seen.

They're mostly fire beings, though some can carry celestial abilities and are not to be mistaken for souls. The fires commonly are red/orange/yellow, though blue and black can be seen dependant on a mood - though black often signalling a curse, or if they're carrying a bad myth with them. Commonly, these myths are telling the stories of Greek Mythology, Japanese folklore and mythology, as well as American horror stories/etc. Myths and legends carried across on the wind.

When a Mythsune awakens from it's sleep, any negative emotions it had felt the previous day and mulled over at night are expelled through the gem on the Third Eye chakra, so it leaves the Mythsune feeling more refreshed and positive about telling others of its carried story.

Commonly, Mythsunes are born with a singular long tail of flame or fur, though rarer for more than three tails, or even a short tail! If the fires on a Mythsune are touched without their rare consents, it is said that creature will be cursed with a terrible fate - often signalled by history. E.g, Jack the Ripper.

Mythsune Element and Bell Purpose

So I wanted to explain how the Mythsune's tails of fire (or other element) works. The common trait that holds the source of the Mythsune's power is of course the bell. We see that in many species. But this bell as a very significant purpose to helping the Mythsune show it's powers and basically what the creature is.

The fire and bell combo is a rather strange thing to work. Inside the bell of course is the chime to make the bell function. But that's not all, a little tinder lies all inside, which is actually the root chakra for a Mythsune. So when this is all in balance, it activates the Mythsune's little fires and produces the tail of fire with paws - this applies to the tips of the ears, just above the crown chakra.

Beads, which are rare to find, are of ethereal nature and are often connected to 'limbo' to rescue trapped spirits and becoming one with the spirit. This can either result in a heavenly Mythsune, one of pure heart, or a cursed Mythsune, ones that seek to cause doom and put the scare factor into myths, legends and other stories - such as the monsters under your bed. Yes, that's them. They're the reason you feel that way.

Ropes, although an uncommon trait, are actually used for those Mythsune who are trying to seal away a bad spirit and prevent it from cursing and corrupting them, though in time, it consumes them and the fiery tail often transforms into a flamed mouth that wants nothing but to consume the fear of those hearing its legend.
