Description
Doing these for my own amusement.Really wanted to make this fella BGW, but due to the constraints of the set's design, I needed to make him mono green to balance out the color pie.
He's got artifact and enchantment hate because the character despises all forms of unnatural magic, the very substance that accidentally gave him life.
Oh... SAPLING TOSS!

I like the card design a lot. I just wonder where you got the inspiration from, since I don't understand how he's related to his game equivalent.
Since the in-game Maokai heals when spells are used around you, i'd probably give him something like:
"Whenever an opponent plays an instant or sorcery, you gain 2 life"
Granted, your card is much more creative and would make for some fun game mechanics.

An thus you just explained greens main conflict. They want to preserve the natural order and use unnatural means (Magic and things like that) to do so.
