My first one from this series (leopard geckos) and straight on my favourite

I used a photo of my own as a reference, this is my gecko which I had put inside a temporary container while cleaning his tank (hence the very little background, those are sheets). In the photo the nose was as out of focus as his body and tail, so I had to fill in the blanks. Somehow he turned out rather comic-like but I like it, it gives him character

The scan doesn't quite translate the actual colours completely, and it will look different on each monitor anyway, but I really like how the colours turned out in the original. I used a black fineliner and markers (mostly Letraset with some Copics). I still need to add some white ink on the tip of his nose, but I can't remember where I stored it. Or even if I have any. Should really try and find out huh.
