Description
This one is a little different. I had planned to do what I normally do, a quick sketch (usd a photo reference for this one) and then ink and colour it, but as I was sketching I just couldn't be bothered to get up to get a fineliner. Sometimes I'm lazy like that. So I just kept on sketching and sketching till eventually I ended up with a full blown pencil drawing. And then I simply didn't know how to best ink it now. So I didn't, I just skipped that stage though still wanted to colour it with markers. I rather like the effect of markers on pencil shading, it think it makes the whole drawing softer than it would have been had I inked it in between. For some final touches I used a sepia fineliner on the eyes and both a white acrylic paint pen and a gel-pen for the whiskers, as the first wasn't nearly as opaque as it claimed. Size 2½ x 3½ inch.Related content

I just don't do realism a lot huh. But I have a few realistic things on the way, I can do it when the mood takes me
