Description Created especially for the ICDC [link]

For the base I used a wooden photo frame (left out the glass and such for the picture) which I completely covered with a polymer clay blend. Stamped with an acrylic stamp dusted with bronze mica powder, paint was added after baking.
The cheetah and plants were also created with clay, the eyes are red tiger eye beads and I'm not sure what stone beads exactly I used for the embellishments but it is a type of fool's gold.

While the cheetah didn't turn out as true to nature as I had hoped, it's more a cuddly toy kinda cheetah really, considering this was my first attempt to a cheetah or even cat-type-critter I think the whole project was a satisfactory one to do

Thank you. And such a great cause, cheetahs deserve all the lime light they can get

It's heeeeere! I really like the effect of the spots!
Cheetah bust turned out great too, great colors as well. I'm not sure about the eyes though; works great for the dragons, but here it's a bit eerie.

It was challenging to figure out what colours to use, a bit of white, a bit of sand, some gold, some dark yellow, even a little pearly brown, and then putting it through the pasta machine just enough to get the right amount of blend while still having the individual colours shine out here and there (cause cheetah fur is a bit of this and a bit of that, like most creatures that rely on camouflage).

The beads, they were the only ones I had the right size and colour, but's also a bit because of the light I used that makes them unlike-cheetah eerie (had to use this portable ehm 'tl-buis' to get enough light to take a sharp photo), without a direct light source it's more subtle (and friendly ).

Ah what the heck, it's a ghost cheetah come back to haunt poachers and nasty lions

Either way, this tastes like more. It's definitely fun to try out new species (without tutorials).
