Wallpaper in some lame cartoon I saw a few days ago gave me the idea to draw a little gothic girl. But while sketching I noticed the face looked more like doll so I decided to continue on that note.Related content

Thanks and yes I did. I'll tell you, it feels a little weird to draw specifically for that. I'm used to either drawing when I have ideas or working on an asignment for say the comic/site or for people. Just to sit there and trying to come up with things for a portfolio without any guidelines or restrictions is kinda tricky.

Had I decided to do a doll straight away I probabely would have chosen a different angle, but now I was already on a certain route so I didn't feel like erasing all that (even though the legs took some thinking without an actual example handy). I did deliberately not centre the wallpaper and hand draw the pattern on her dress to keep it from being completely mirrored.
The colors were there in my head before I even started drawing
