The piece de resistance and final artwork for this series, my fossilised snail-shell. Or actually, one half of a set with this one being a tad prettier.

Most fossilised shells I see are a combination of beige colours and hematite; a dark metallic grey. Also very pretty, but I prefer this quartz filled shell with all its colour variations. I doubt the first would have scanned as well.

As I have a love for pattern repetition (and swirls), I felt it was a nice idea to give her hairdo the same snail-shell look.
The pose more or less I did from heart, though I did use a reference photo for some of the details ([link] , -> because I used a stock photo this time and you gotta love those people who create their stock for us other type artists )

And with that I conclude the Stones Series. Not because I've run out of stones but because you have to draw the line somewhere and 12 makes a good number imo.
