I usually draw pants, partly because I don't like wearing dresses or skirts myself and partly because I like drawing legs (which I've mentioned before I think). But the skirt of the model just looked nice (the shape that is, not the pattern), so I decided to keep it (though you still have to sketch the legs so you know what they look like when the skirt stops).And with so much of the pink and red showing, I felt it was wise to use the sparse yellow of the stone to colour the clothing. The balance is better this way.

I think these are the best types of stone to work with, when you have a lot of one colour (in various grades) with a little bit of something else which you can use for the clothing

Personally I like art that is decent. Imho I think there is far too much unnecessary (sp?) nakedness around. Not that I don't enjoy that too
But I definately like keeping it real

I do like drawing (semi)nakedness, because the human figure is a nice one, but at the same time, there's so much you can do with clothing for funsies. And a lot of skin doesn't always make the picture interesting. In this case the face had so much character, a naked back would have taken away the attention.
Plus sometimes nakedness just ins't realistic. With this series we're dealing with poses, but you betcha the Tirn Aill ladies are gonna cover themselves up the higher they get in the mountains
