Description
A second pose from the same actress and again one with lots of room for a big tattoo. This time I did go for an elf-like character, one of a clan that will feature in a story of Tirn Aill. A clan I have always envisioned as being pierced and tattood and possibly green (which I did go for in the end. Olive green makes a good skin colour in my opinion).Manually drawn and inked, coloured in Photoshop, added background in aquarel paint.

Nice!Though I miss shading on the tatto. You shaded her skin and hair, but the tattoo is just one colour, which make the tatto looks like it's projected on her image.
Anyway, I think the design of her tatto looks very good.

The decision to give the inkline a colour was last minute really, after I had coloured and shaded the underlining layer (and the tattoo is part of the inkwork, not the colouring). At that point I felt I had done enough work on the picture (except for adding the background), you've got to watch out you don't start nitpicking out of perfection. But I might add shading some time soon, now that I have taken some distance from the picture. I'm about to colour a new addition to this series (which I've decided to call Skin, as I want to do more than just tattoos), so might just go back on this one.
These kind of tattoos are very nice to do out of free hand. The only direction I had set myself was 'swirly'

Ik vind deze echt prachtig, Peet. Je bent gewoon zo goed in kleuren kiezen. Het olijfgroene werkt erg goed, en kan zeker ook als huidskleur gebruikt worden zonder dat het meteen supervreemd overkomt.
Ook vind ik deze tattoo mooier, omdat ie niet zo knalzwart is (dat vind ik eerlijk gezegd gewoon lelijk, zeker op een bleke huid), het complementeert haar huid beter op deze manier. Goed gekozen nieuwe oorvorm en ook haar langwerpige gezicht spreekt me erg aan. Topper deze!

Op zich hou ik wel van dat contrast zwart op een bleke huid, maar bij deze had ik na het kleuren van, het moet zachter, warmer, vanwege de huidskleur maar ook omdat deze tatoeage veel groter was dan van die andere. Het werd te dominant.
Ik vind dit wel erg leuk om te doen, die lichaamsversiering. Ik denk er over nog een paar te doen, maar dan met body paint voor weer een ander effect.
De oren ben ik ook tevreden over. Ik wil deze ook platter houden zodat ik weer eens kapsels kan gebruiken die niet passen bij flappies
