I usually just imagine Dovahkiin summoning a Dragon off screen to take him to his next location when I fast travel. But I guess this works too. LOL.

My Dovahkiin is a victim of a Durnehviir summoning glitch so none of that for me >.<

I figured out a way to avoid it. You just have to go to the Misc. Quests on the Quest Menu and activate the quest that says "Learn first word in Durnehviir shout." Then repeat for the rest of the words.
