Not sure what you mean by awkwardness in this case, it's not like you're talking to them face-to-face, but the way things work in forums doesn't really help. Most of the times they either ignore you if you don't present yourself in the related thread or just think you're trolling. But most of the time it's just a general hugbox with no actual help from anyone. At least, that's what I got from an "outside" view of forums in general.

It was exactly like that on comic forums, kongregate, the nexus so over the years I became a pro lurker. Fortunately I find that AG is completely different. Even the mods are nice, wtf.
