I love this shot.
The color grading is perfect. I'd like to talk to you about your post-production process.
I kind of wish the guy was a little more in frame to the left, but i don't think the photo suffers from him being too far out.
I love the heart on the left. It really gives the viewer something more. I mean, there are tons of singer-clichΓ© shots, but this really gives it some good punch.

I wanted to frame him a little more to the left as well, but there was a column just to the right of his head and I didn't want it to get in the shot : ]
As far as post goes, I'm a big curves guy. I have a set of curves that I got off somewhere on the internets that are supposed to emulate certain films - provia, velvia, portra, and one that gives this nice subtle cross processed look. But for this shot I kept it simple and just adjusted the levels a bit, loaded up the xpro curve, and tweaked it a bit (clipped the shadows and highlights a tad, adjusted contrast, tweaked color balance) until i got it the way I liked it.

Ah, awesome.
I've been playing with levels and curves to get an xpro look. I guess it wouldn't hurt to look at some internet sites to see how they do it, but I don't like doing the same thing millions of other kids do.
I'll play around with it. Spend a good few hours just clicking the buttons. It'll get me somewhere.

Yeah, neither do I. Which is why I like the curveset I have. It's xpro curve doesn't really emulate typical crossprocessed film, but i like the look regardless. then I just tweak it to my liking.

neat shot!!
what do you do in photoshop to your shots?
or is the lighting all natural?
[there is a heart behind his head...]

yupp, the lighting is all natural.
the colors and whatnot are due to some curves magic.
