Ugh. I'm super unhappy with this scan but I think I'd rather have something up here than nothing.

I've been feeling like I wanted to do more traditional work lately, since most of my freelance stuff is digital. I also happened to need another wildlife-based piece for an art application, so I did some sketches and came up with this.

I'm really, really happy with the original and will probably get it framed soon just so I can properly admire it on my wall, but yeah, the scan doesn't come close to doing the piece justice. the surface water is much more teal-green, and the deeper water has much more green and purple in the original.

Grr. That's what I get for doing a painting in blue, I guess.
