I wanted to do an anime painting and experiment. I was going to do it in Photoshop but I didn't feel like it so I did it in Paint Tool SAI. I'm thinking about painting more often, should I?I actually used the same technique of coloring hair, the only difference is I used a different tool. I'm also going to start adding in my username signature.

this piece is really good, and it has potential. i like the colors picked, but something is wrong with how you shaded it. you need to be consistent with your values. the hair is shaded well, but the skin needs more dark coloring to go along with the hat, hair, etc.The shoulder pad doesn't follow with where the light source is. it also needs some sort of line-art, like what you did with the skin. also, try to focus on anatomy. her eyes seem to be longer than what they should be, and her mouth is a little too far up the face. hope this helps you! you did a very nice job. (this actually reminds me of a drawing i did a year or two ago...)

I really like this! But I think that you could improve.
First, the eyes seem unnaturally long and droopy. If you made them less wide and the eyes end as high as they began, the picture would look better.
Second, the mouth looks funny. I think if you made the lips a tiny bit darker and maybe bigger, it would look more natural.
Third, the eyebrows seem really dark. If you used a lighter shade that was still darker than the hair I think it would look better.
I hope you can improve from my critique! I'm no expert at lineless art, but I tried my best!

Good job, KittenCloudMeow. Another thing though, and whether this was the artists intention or not, the hat makes it look like the head is really large. It might just be me, I dont know.

Yeah, it's a really good idea to add your signature on your drawings. Less easy for an art thief to steal it!

Yeah
I used to add my signature back in 2013, but a few people complained about my signature being too distracting because it's too big. I just made it smaller and lowered the opacity to make it less distracting.
