The Doctor is referred to as Theta and the Master Koshei, are those their real names?

It's not their true names just their school nicknames. Even Koshei I think isn't ever mentioned in the show so it might now be 100% canon. But the doctor was nicknamed Theta Sigma is school. The doctors true name has never been mentioned and I think there are very few people that even know what it is.

As far as I know, yes. There is a novel about their youth and the Doctor's childhood name is Theta Sigma (it was also mentioned somewhere in the show). The Master's is Koschei, named after a person from Russian folklore (Koschei the Deathless)
