"There was no time for Leafy and Firey to keep talking and make things up for it, as they slowly drifted away inside space, possibly to never see each other again..."

(I am not too sure if i'd count this as ship art but you do you and see it whatever way you wish to!)

Long before The Beano, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and other fandoms, BFDI(Battle for Dream Island) and the object show community was probably the first ever fandom that I showed artworks of it online. I was a big fan of it and even managed to finish the whole BFB series! However, time flies and after BFB finished, I just sort of stopped watching object shows. However, I am slowly coming back to it and already watched one of the object shows that isn't TPOT or I.I.I (although I should watch them sometime). During my time, Fireafy(Leafy x Firey) was one of the ships I liked the most and made content of them lot most of the time (I even set an image of them two as my wallpaper for my iPad before!). I think liking the ship also made me like one of the characters, Leafy and she became my favourite. Before then, it was Four, BFB's host. One day, I wanted to find a spot for my whole Beano collection to go to because it was starting to not have anymore space when I stumbled upon an old drawing of them two kind of drifting away with tears and well, I had to recreate it somehow!

Because I know their personalities a bit more, I changed their expressions slightly. I still made Leafy cry but not Firey. I also changed the background to be space since...well, you float in space since i'm pretty sure there's no gravity. I also changed mediums for it. While I could recreate it with paints, oil pastels and soft pastels (as those were the materials I originally used on the original painting), I stuck to colouring pencils and some crayons.

Honestly, there is quite a couple of drastic changes (excluding the art style) because it's so different compared to the original! In any way though, I might make more works relating to BFDI and maybe even more object shows later on because like I say, I am slowly coming back to the fandom (not fully but slowly). Maybe I might rewatch some object shows I've watched...who knows? We'll wait and see in the future.
