Alright so he's part of the lab team, but just as an assistant. He's there to make points for college, and to learn. But he's not that "geek" like, he doesn't know much about science. And Fred is the one to teach him and stuff, although they talk about comics instead of science lmao.
I'm kinda thinking of a head canon where you know who is. (if you know what I mean)
