The truth is, I never owned a Pokemon Red, Blue or Yellow game, but what I did own was Pokemon Heartgold. When I first played the game, I manage to catch myself a Gastly and wasn't too thrilled with haven't it. I thought it was going to be a weak Pokemon that I would have to trade, but boy was I wrong when I evolved it into a Haunter. I love the power and slippery-ness of this ghost type, so cool looking and with its ability to levitate, no ground moves can hit me. Besides, that hypnosis & dream eater combo is amazing.Unfortunately, I did evolve this beauty and I do regret it, but I love her even more than ever! And yes, the her I'm referring to--the Haunter I actually raised and owned-- was a Haunter by the name of Creeps. The male Haunter (Gaspar) is a pokemon I caught in the Pokemon Y game. I still use Creeps in my party and she has a LONG way to go to get up her defense and strength, but I always count on her whenever I use her in battle.

Gaspar is actually the name of a Haunter you can obtain in an in-game trade in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. I believe he holds an Everstone so that he won't evolve right away when you receive him. Not sure if you named him after that Haunter or if this is just one crazy coincidence.

Nah, I did get gaspar from an in-game trade some time ago. he helped me a bit, but later on I evolved him. ^^
