Description
The Kvitskriuprestene (white-clad priests) are earth pyramids formed by erosion of the soil at the slope of the hill while the material under the stone plates remained unaffected. They are located in the Uladalen at the southern border of the Rondane National Park in Norway. I saw them for the first time when I was travelling Norway with my parents as a child. When I returned this fall for my first vacation in Norway alone, the host on the farm where I was staying recommended a hike to some stone formations in the area. I went and then realized I had been in that exact place with my family years ago. Much to my dismay, back then we did a long hike to the Peer Gynt hut which did not seem to end and I complainedΒ the entire way but was somewhat consoled when we had hot waffles at the hut. I thought about doing the hike again and have waffles, the hut still exists and still serves waffles but was closed since it was during the week and off-season. Probably recreating happy childhood memories never works out as intended X(Related content

This stone formation is quite hidden, just a small path with a sign leading away from the main road, then suddenly this view opens up
