Your photo expresses the empty feeling very well, yet it is still a beautiful capture. It's just like the winter is around there and doesn't want to leave. Anyway, I still have some suggestions for you. I don't know if it is possible for you to raise the camera higher, so that the whole water plant could be captured inside the lake area without the interference of the forest background. You could also try to reduce the noise a little, so the photo could become more smoothing, which goes well with the silence concept you want to create.

However, your photo has shown the silence very well. I can feel almost no wind at the site, yet the natural elements still add nice freshness to the view. Keep up the good work
