For this piece, did you use the gouache with much water? I ask this because I've been trying to use gouache lately but I can't find a way to use it properly yet and this is the style I am looking for.

Thanks

I never use Gouache neat, always add a little water or more if it needs to spread around more. Good luck.

Wow, I didn't even remember this comment, LOL

I ended up using lots of water for the painting I did with gouache and was really happy with the final result. I worked reducing the amount of water progressively as I was finishing the image. You can see what I did here [link] and [link]

After doing that, I haven't used gouache again although I'd like to. I just find digital a lot 'cleaner' medium (I mean, with digital you don't have to clean your brushes or palette u.u).

Thanks for your reply anyways

Wow! so niiiiiice
I love the strokes and the matte color, it gives the feeling of being a old illustration.
The fire blast looks amazing

Your use of colour is very bold, and the strokes and the line quality is very strong, it reminds me of an expressionist painter, Franz Marc

Wow, I love the way you have controlled the very "chaotic" looking paintery style! The dragon appears very 3D altough there is only rough strokes of paint. Well done!

Also those faded colors work really well together.

wow, lovely effect, I like how the painting differs between views, the closer you get, the looser the strokes appear

Beautiful. I can see the Frazetta influence.
