Description Pencil and paper, etc.

One of a few late commissions I've had laying about.

A bit of an awkward encounter, if you ask me. Papa's Freja and Eleanor, meeting for the first time at a pool. For Freja, a mammalian creature, it's a bit confusing seeing a female with no breasts. I thought it was freakin' hilarious the first time I read this, and I'm glad papa made me read it.

If you wanna know what the hell I'm talking about, you'd have to read it for yourself. Look through papa's gallery to find out!

I believe I speak for every biology major out there when I say THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

Slapping breasts on non-mammalian characters to indicate they're female is kind of lazy. Sometimes it's totally justified, like if the animal doesn't really have any sexual dimorphism  (anthro arthropods for example).

But reptiles and birds have all sorts of secondary sexual characteristics.

I know how you feel ten-fold.

Seeing a non-mammalian creature with boobs bothered the ever-loving CRAP out of me.

Especially the fem-Yautja (Predator), and fem-Elites (the ones from Halo). The Yautja don't even have nipples! Why would they have breasts?

This is fantastic, thank you Sweetheart!

Eleanor has a good-natured, slighted amused look at Freja's total perplexity.  Frejs's look is pure confusion, definitely an "I don't get it" moment.  Beautifully done.

Eleanor looks the way I envisioned her with big eyes and lashes.  From everything I've seen about Parasaurolophus, they were a bit wider in the hips and thighs than you'd expect for a narrow rib cage and arms so she's great.  Definitely feminine, but just so confusing for poor Freja.

Freja still has that beautifully innocent, curious expression and the posture of a confused German Shepard.  She's also very stylish in her swimming suit, you did a bang-up job on it!

Huzzahs all around!

I thought it all seemed appropriate. Tell you the truth, I honestly thought I would not be able to draw Eleanor. Dinosaurs are so complex.

But I'm so glad you like i!

Here's hoping the others come out just as good.

Absolutely, huge huzzah's to you!

Not only a bit wider hips and thighs, but she's also got a very heavy tail (no puns intended ), so that adds to the plausibility of how you drew her.  I'm glad you slogged through and was able to figure out how to draw her.  Dinosaurs were incredibly complex shapes and sizes and quite a few of them seem to be contradictions from nose to tail.  Take the good ole Triceratops for example, they look like they were designed by committee and no one was talking with anyone else when the parts were assembled.

I love her and she's gorgeous!

No worries there, I know you'll do beautiful justice with all the rest.

She seems to be stuck between surprise and amusement.

Also, man, those thighs!

I happen to like thighs. So long as they're not freakishly huge, they're very pretty. U uU

Thanks.

Yeah, I'm definitely a waist-person too. Don't know what it is about that whole area, but it just hits me right. You're welcome.
