And, this is the digital color version of my little dragon species~ I will be doing one done in colored pencils.

As you can see, they are mostly red, with touches of blue.
That growth on its skull has two purposes- to help steer during flight, and to fight. That frill is just an armored plate on the skull used as a battering ram.
This one drawn is a male, so his is larger and more pointed towards the edge. Females have smaller, more rounded ones.

Those blue markings on its cheeks act kind of like street markings- they reflect just enough light to make them stand out at night, so nothing will crash into them while they'er flying.
