I can't believe I found this picture- I started crying when I found it... It was hidden in a folder I had labeled as "Halloween" in my pictures...
The big, black hound dog is my dead dog Shaddy. He was hit by a car and had to be put down 2 years ago. I stayed with him the entire time and listened to his heartbeat when they euthanized him... I held him and felt him stop breathing. He whimpered and whined if I moved away from him before we decided to put him down...
That dog spent six days out in the rain starving himself waiting for me when I went to the hospital over my leg- he waited outside my grandparents front door because he thought that was where I went. He refused to go inside though, because I wasn't the one calling him in... When I finally came home he was so excited that he tackled me, I'd never seen him so happy before.
He slept with me in my room every night, and sometimes I'd wake up to him having a seizure. I know he'd been hit by a car sometime before him falling into my life- his head and jaw twitched constantly... I loved that dog, I miss him so much...

The little dog next to him is Bronco- he was my moms wife's dog. They got along... Poor little Bronco never went near the driveway again after Shaddy got hit... He knew what happened...
