Neat! He reminds me a bit of the magma blob monsters from the Dragon Quest series. Your monster, however, is less blobby and much more magmalike in structure, as evidenced by the "rocky" outline alongside his back and across his fingers. I like the colouring too; normally, you'd expect a "wavy" pattern for colouring something like this, but you took it in a different direction.
