I hope you don't mind me asking but I was looking for an answer for a problem I was having with the game. See, my Digimon was going to Digivolve, the symbol and brief animation and it was suppose to turn into a Rookie but it didn't and my best guess was that I didn't reach the requirements so he did not evolve. My question is ... is he now stuck that way? I've had it open more than 6 hours now and it has been trained 85 times, I'm wondering if I messed it up.. ; v ;

A quick google search got this page, hope it helps! : digimonpc.wix.com/dmpcweb#!evo…

Hmm, I think if you press F1 in the game you can see the "evolution tree" in text form. Look for shoutmon in it, and then work your way back to see the requirements to get him, starting from which starter type to pick. From what i've seen, there's usually more then one way to reach a certain digimon. Good luck!

that's the way it's written in the help file, it's actually very simple,

like the first line,
for your fresh baby to evolve to in-training:
takes: 1 hour (you must have played the game for one hour)
times trained: the number of times you trained your baby digimon (by going into training mode with the train button seen on the interface image) determines what your baby digimon will evolve into.
> means more then
= equal to
< less then.

so >=10 if you train 10 or more times, you will get evolution A
>=5 if you train it 5 or more time (but less then 10 times) you will get evolution B
<5 if you train it less then 5 times, you will get evolution C

each evolution is a different digimon that leads you down a different branch of possible evolutions.

From in-training on, the number of times you train it are fixed, but the stat you trained the most matters now.
if attack is the stat with the biggest number, evolution A happens
if it's defense, evo B
if it's Dex, evo C

And from Champion level and up, they require battles to evolve.

If you reach the time for your digimon to evolve but you haven't met any of the requirements, he will not evolve.

sooo, if i train my digimon baby 10 times in one hour, it will evolve? also, you MUST battle with him if you want it to digivolve further after you have reached champion, right?

aaand, just to clarefy it, nobody has 40 hours of spare time to play with the thing, unless you put it on pause all the time..

Just to be clear: I didn't make DMPC, and i am no expert on it. I am trying my best to help you out, but it would really be much better for you to get access to a PC computer and look up the information in the help file by opening DMPC and pressing the F1 key on your keyboard. you will be able to see all the possible evolutions listed in that file.

The number of times you train your baby digimon will affect which evolution it will get, 10 times or more (>=10) is only 1 evolution you can get. and If the game still functions the same way, you need to accomplish all your training before your baby is 1 hour old, or it will not evolve.

I'm not sure about the newest versions, but in the first version of DMPC, i think if you miss the chance, your digimon will never evolve.

Don't worry, there is plenty of time to train it before the time runs out.

Also, DMPC should be able to make itself a save file, so you can leave the game and come back to it some other time, but I don't know if that works on MAC, you'll have to test it out.
