It was indeed an awesome sunrise. It was almost exactly a year ago and I can remember it like it was yesterday - how the slippery wet rocks felt, trying to find a decent foreground in the scant light to put in front of that sky, the breeze coming from the left, the rapidly changing light, the day very quickly warming up...

Thanks. That's how I saw the colours that morning and it's actually not far off what the camera recorded (I just checked my original). All of my post tweaks are quite subtle - dodged the foreground a little to open up the shadows, added some midtone constrast (this probably made the biggest difference), minor sharpening, removed some dust/water spots, and a small global lightening as the entire exposure was a tad too dark.
It really was a spectacular sunrise, perhaps the best I remember from the last 30+ years.
