Description Another wild night and another drawing of a mythical beast. I had fun with the background though!

Thank you very much! I really appreciate it. And sorry for my late reply; I've been wrestling with some stuff lately & haven't been online.

This is lovely. Slight chimera influences on it (Do I spy the Statue of Liberty?). Eh...maybe not, I'm writing this at...2:30... in the morning and my brain simply isn't functioning. I love designs like this. Great job on the wing primaries. Some of the phoenix reminds me of a few Middle Eastern or Hindu mythological pics, what was that scene again? I'll remember the name later but...Excellent.

I'm sorry for such a late reply, but thank you very much for your comment! I think I may have been influenced by the Middle Eastern and Hindu paintings, especially the designs on their calligraphic manuscripts. There's also a bit of influence from Persian miniatures.

Holy BOB. I'm having Yoshitaka Amano flashbacks...

I am once again floored by the level of detail your boredom brings out in your drawings.

Yes, I definitely like the background. r0x0rz...

Thank you very much! I wasn't really familiar with Amano's name until you told me it and now I remember! I've seen his artworks everywhere and yet I never could remember his name...my brain is wacky that way. I remember faces, but names tend to get elusive sometimes when I'm not concentrating

what a stunning beauty
I bet you must ADORE G.Klimt and A.Beardsley, am I right?
( I'm not saying you copy them, but your style is so close to theirs! with an added pinch of visionary... )

To tell you the truth, I absolutely adore the book illustrations of the latter half of the 19th - early 20th C. illustrators, namely Beardsley, Rackham, Dulac, W. Crane, etc., and a fondness for Art Nouveau, especially from the Viennese school.

Since you mentioned Klimt, you're the second person who's told me that my work reminded them of Klimt.

...maybe just because I'm the second one who knows about Klimt!
I deeply love your style

Thank you very much

Not that many people know about Klimt, so it's rare indeed to know a friend who knows Gustav Klimt!
