I generally don't share things related to my health, either the physical or psychological side. But lately, I have noticed that there are a lot more of us "Invisible" sufferers out there than I realized. So it's my hope that there might be something in this post that helps you realize that you're not alone and maybe you can keep at it after all.
First, a little background on me. I was born with Spina Bifida Occulta. While it didn't affect me for most of my life, as I get older it's a source of chronic pain. Next, I was struck by lightning at age 6, resulting in a short death followed by a lifetime of neurological issues. I've been shot, stabbed, and run over by a Semi truck (Lorry). I have Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis. The most recent, and most debilitating is Sporadic Hemiplegic Migraine. Which, part of my Migraine Aura is intense pain and sometimes paralysis of the left side of my body. Sometimes it can just be a finger, other times it can be the entire left side.

Psychologically speaking, I have Complex, treatment-resistant PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Chronic Insomnia, Insomnia induced Schizoaffective disorder: Depressive type and mild Agoraphobia.

My point isn't to solicit empathy or sympathy. My point is to let you, my fellow sufferers, know that you're not alone and that you know that you CAN do the things. You likely just need to know that someone else out there is trying their best to do the things too. Frida Kahlo struggled with chronic pain, infertility, and depression. Kahlo’s poor health and chronic pain inevitably became prominent themes in her artwork. She often painted from her bed.

If you take nothing else away from this, I'll give you my Matra, "What Would Frida Do?"
