Process/Method:
Pen tooled in wonky shapes and tbh looked like "potato chips" (that's what my brother said) -- before I added shadows
Used Photoshop lens flares and clipped the ends and stretched them out for light bleed
Pasted in space dust and made it have the same color as the designated color then toyed with the layer effects
Layer masking the lens flare so that it leaves a shadow behind the asteroids giving it more character in the space dust
Layer adjustments are as follows: Layer > New Layer Adjustments > Exposure , vibrance , brightness / contrast , Hue / Saturation
