In 1999 I purchased a teddy bear making kit for my wife for her birthday. She made the teddy bear. Then soon started elaborating on the designs.She eventually came up with a combination of patern and material that would up looking something like the teddy you see painted here.
One day I decided to try painting him as an Astronaut. Just for fun.
It came out pretty cute.
Then a doctor.
Then a farmer.
Soon...we had a whole bunch of teddy bear paintings. So she wrote a story about what teddy bears want to be.
Thus...Teddy Bear Dreams came about.
We pitched it to a book publisher and they picked it up.
In 2001 Teddy Bear Dreams hit stores. My wife was now a Children's book author.
These are some of the illustrations I did.

Aww, I love this one! I love animals, and I like seeing how you've designed and drawn a different range of them here. Really neat pose from the Teddy Bear too.
What method of painting did you use for these pictures? Did you use a combination of pencil/inks/markers, etc? Just curious.

It's all colored pencils with markers to help blend.
