I was there a few years ago. What an amazing place. The mountain setting is wonderful. I love this photo of it and the way it looks like something out of a dream. A dark, mysterious dream! Most photos of Neuschwanstein focus on the beauty of the castle. While this shows the castle's fairytale beauty, the haze and amount of darkness above the castle make it appear dark and mysterious. Almost as though if you looked away and back again it might disappear. Good work to show something that has been photographed thousands of times in a unique and interesting way.

Beautifully framed and composed. I have always loved this castle and all the pics I can find of it. The stormy clouds above the castle bring great drama to the scene.

Ich bin schon dort gewesen, vor etwa drei Jahren und es ist wirklich ein MΓ€rchenschloss. Das war eigentlich auch die Idee, die Ludwig, der KΓΆnig von Bayern, fΓΌr das Schloss hatte - die Opern Wagners mit den Legenden, die ihre Grung sind, noch einmal zu beleben, wie in seiner Kindheit. Das musst du aber bestimmt schon wissen.

I love this shot of Neuschwanstein! I live in Ohio, but one of my biggest dreams is to go and see this castle (Germany, right?) It's breath takingly beautiful! I am constantly in awe of your photos. I'm taking a photo class right now, maybe someday I can get as good as you!

Not only have a been to this castle, but I'm also commenting because I love the picture. The fog and the sky look so erie-it's different from all the other Neuschwanstein pics I've seen. Is all of that real or did you add it in editing?
When I went to Germany we stayed in this little farm house across from the lake and we could see the castle wayyyy off in the distance. It was surreal to actually be there-so awesome.
